A night walk is a painting born by text and an impression… Every night since I started to attend drawing classes regularly after work, I was walking down this street and get captured by the incredible warm orange light of this shopping window. I loved it every time and I was really sad when I read that the shop was closing, passing by there it was my prelude to happiness. Then I read a text, from the collection of letter Van Gogh wrote to his brother – moving and beautiful- he describes a subject he would love to paint in Paris ” a very modern subject”, a bookstore in the night with orange light and silhouette of people passing by…well there is nothing more to be added – I saw the painting in my mind and that´s the result.
